I’m kozii, an artist and producer based in Los Angeles. Music has meant a lot to me my whole life and I’ve always heard music in everything. Writing has been a way for me to escape and pour my thoughts out. I would say it’s been a passion of mine. For a long time, I’ve been very private about my music and my writing, but I’ve recently started producing and realized I love to create the music I always hear in my head. Each song I create is like a snapshot of where I was in life mentally and emotionally.

I studied at the University of Southern California at the Thornton School of Music and studied Data Science at the Viterbi School of Engineering. While being at USC, I learned how to produce and create entertainment events like festivals, concerts, and more. Along with creating entertainment events, I learned the business side of it too - reading and creating contracts, knowing copyright law, and using my data science knowledge for data analytics.

My first single, “GREEN,” is a song solely created by me. I wrote all the lyrics, recorded all my vocals, mixed samples, and used MIDI instruments to create the production, in addition to mixing and mastering the entire record. I hope you take a listen to it.

“GREEN” is just the beginning of what I want to do and the world I am building as an artist. I am continuing my creation of music, and would love to collaborate with other like-minded creatives. Likewise, I have a passion for film and would love to create music for film, video games, and more. I am always trying to grow and challenge myself.

When I produce and write music, I don’t really put myself into one box. My style is very fluid, and I love to make whatever I think feels and sounds good. I adore the idea of expanding my knowledge of different genres of music. I love to discover music as well as research and learn as much as I can.
